Tips to Prepare for RJS Exam

A realistic RJS preparation plan should focus on steady progress rather than long study hours. Start early and divide the syllabus into manageable targets. This leaves enough time for revision and practice.

  • Know the syllabus first: List the RJS subjects for prelims and mains. Mark topics that need more attention.
  • Build a practical timetable: Set weekly targets based on your current level. Give extra time to difficult subjects. Keep separate slots for revision.
  • Study from reliable books: Use a limited number of standard books and Bare Acts. Avoid switching between too many sources.
  • Practise regularly: Start with one mock test or previous-year paper each week. Increase the frequency closer to the exam. Analyse every mistake.
  • Give Mains writing daily practice: Write answers regularly. Keep the structure clear: introduction, legal reasoning, and conclusion. Practise different question types.
  • Revise repeatedly: Use short notes, quizzes, or active recall. Regular revision helps retain lengthy legal provisions.
  • Follow legal updates: Track new laws, amendments, and important judgments. Watch the RJS notification for official updates.
  • Protect your routine: Get adequate sleep, take short breaks, and include some physical activity. A sustainable routine is easier to maintain.
